Hey everyone, this is the rules page. I know it's boring to read, but just do it. It will help everybody in the long run.
Rules:
1. No putting other people down.
This rule is extremely stressed at this forum. You guys can roleplay and get in fights there, but no fighting besides that.
2. No excessive swearing.
Go ahead, swear a little in your roleplays if you want. But don't make it a habit. It gets annoying after awhile.
3. No one-liners.
It is VERY important to make your posts long and interesting. One-liners are not allowed. Make it at least the bare minimum for a paragraph (four sentences).
4. Use your best grammar.
Look, I don't care if you misspell a word every now and then. But please don't use chatspeak. That will really piss me off. If you need to, install a spell checker in your internet browser. I have that on Mozilla Firefox.
5. Be appropriate.
Please try to discuss appropriate subject matter in your topics. If you know that the topic will not be appropriate for young readers, then say the rating in the subject. Any sexual matter should be rated R or NC-17, depending on how graphic it is. Use your best judgment.
6. No stealing.
Please don't steal other people's friend board layouts. Trust me, it took them at least an hour to come up with that.
7. No begging for admin powers.
I'll give you admin powers if I trust you enough with the board. Simple as that, no questions asked. So don't bug me about it.Rachael rules everything.
8. No crazy/outrageous plots.
Look, I really don't want to have every teenage girl in this roleplay pregnant. Make it realistic please. And, if you have a canon character, make sure to follow the plot somewhat.
9. Stick to canon.
Listen, I don't think I have to tell you how important this is. Use the canon relationships, age, sexuality, etc. I really don't want any outrageous plots.
10. Be realistic.
Okay, your student character will not be able to randomly venture off school grounds to wherever they feel like. So that means that Hogwarts students are restricted to the Hogwarts grounds and Hogsmeade on Hogsmeade weekends. If you want, you can also go sneak off to the Forbidden Forrest or something. Just be within the realm or reason.
11. No controlling.
You can only control what your character does. No one else. Stick to that while roleplaying.
12. Don't ditch.
Everyone must be on the site often. If you don't post (not a game post or an advertising post but a roleplaying post) for seven days, your character will be taken away and available for other people to play. I will not delete your account, but I will take away the character. If you would like the character back after it is taken away, you must fill out the application again. Please respect this rule, because it keeps our site active.
13. No Know-It-Alls. Even Hermione.
You can't know everything about a character. Especially if you haven't even met them. If they have a secret, then you won't automatically know about it. Be realistic. And that brings us to...
14. Don't be a wallflower!
Please, introduce yourself to the other characters before striking up a random conversation. Build up a friendship, just how it would happen in the real world. You can't know everyone, even if you are Lavender Brown...
Well guys, that's it... for now. I'll let you know if I decide to update the list. Thanks for reading, I really appreciate it.
