Hermione walked on, tears filling her eyes, as she realized the truth behind the past months that she adored to keep moving. She was upset, she was angry, and she was dissapointed, but the thing that made her wander was the pain she held from the shattered heart that pounded in her chest. The truth, naturally, sometimes hurts, but it hurts even more when something you didn't want to believe to happen does. She sighed, walking on, wiping the tears from her eyes, and emerging into a golden rod field that spread across the land. In the very center, in the distance, stood the doorless "Shrieking" shack that the trio had so many memories of. And, even though it would remind her of him, she felt like she needed to be here.
She made her way through the weeds, well aware that someone could possibly be inside the shack because of the passageway from the Hogwarts castle, but she didn't care. If someone heard, someone heard, but right now she really wished that by chance she was actually alone. There are just those days where you wish you could be alone and it doesn't always work out for you. Everyone, for sure, has those days. Or, well, Hermione had those days.
She collapsed onto the porch and hung her head over into the palms of her hands. She wept very silenty, trying to train herself to get used to the feeling and get over it, but she soon learned that it was not that easy. He had stolen everything from her. She had loved him, more than life itself, and he had betrayed her... hadn't he? She really hoped it was a mistake, but she couldn't help believe the words that came from Emily's mouth that morning.
"Chin up, 'Mione." She whispered to herself. "No one needs to see you broken."
