+ Let Hermione and Emily get into the fight before anybody else joins in, to stop the fight or otherwise. This means you Ron. Got to have some drama. DRRRAAAAMAAAA. Okay I`ll start the post now.lol. +
Emily walked down Diagon Alley. She had come here to buy her supplies for school. Wow, her seventh year at Hogwarts. Well, sixth year technically. Emily had gone to Beauxbatons for her first year. Wow, her sixth year at Hogwarts. Emily was extremely nervous however, last year had been a fiasco. Dumbledore had died. Snape and Malfoy had run off. The Death Eaters had invaded Hogwarts. And Emily was one of those fighting the so-called DA. Dumbledore`s Army. Of course, only after she had awoken after getting hexed by that damn Ginny Weasley and the others, in Umbridge`s office. Yes, Emily had been one of those wretched Slytherins out on patrol for Umbridge. Deal with it.
Emily thought about visiting Fred in his joke shop. But then remembered that he was probably at home. Em knew this. Knew this how? She`ll never tell. Here, Emily arrived just outside the Apothecary. Potions, her favorite subject. Unfortunately Snape didn`t teach it anymore, he didn`t teach at Hogwarts at all. Emily never liked that Slughorn fellow. He was always a bit annoying. But he certainly liked Emily. Stick with him, he`ll get you to the top. Em`s parents had said.

Hermione had apparated to Diagon Alley early that morning, knowing very well that she left before anyone else had woke from their sleep. She gave a light sigh of relief, arriving on her two feet in the middle of a pad that sat on the ground. She really hated doing that, but she knew it was the quickest way to get around. Hermione walked into a shop, looking at quills and such for school next year, but she told herself she was only going to make a list. She didn't want to buy anything else, for the case of might losing it. She smiled, picking up a black and pink quill and twirling it around in her fingers. "Ohhh, this one's nice." She said lightly, but place it back on the shelf again. She would not buy anything.
She walked outside. The streets, forturnately, were rather empty today. Not only because it was rather early, but because most witches and wizards were working about this time. It seemed like everyone in Diagon Alley happened to be a student at Hogwarts. They were all looking for items too and as she scanned the faces for a friend, she happened to run into someone she friended a long time ago, and then went their seperate ways. She leaned against the window of the shop near her and gave a little laugh. "Montague" She said abruptly. Oh, how she hated the girl.

Emily was bent over a rather nice cauldron. All gold. A short man in emerald robes who worked in the shop went over to her."Hello my dear. Would you like this all gold cauldron. Great for those advanced potions. Or maybe a new set of dragon scales, eh?"He asked.Em smiled but before she could answer she heard a oh-too-familiar voice.
Em turned around to see Hermione Granger. A bit rudely, Em ignored the small man and walked a few paces near Hermione."Ah, the famous Hermione Granger. What are you doing here all by yourself? You might get hurt."Emily gave a smirk.

Hermione gave a slight smirk back to the girl. Hurt? Ha, it seemed impossible. This girl was rude, yes, but she could not outsmart Hermione. She was at least ten classes lower than her. Hermione laughed. "I should say the same thing about you." She still leaned against the window, pressing up to it in relaxation. Her words did not intimidate Hermione at all, she found them entirely amusing. What she didn't find amusing, though, was the knowledge that her boyfriend, Ron, had befriended that.
"Say, are your parents still in jail?" She asked, mocking the way her parents worked. Her family was screwed up, and Hermione knew that, but in order to leave Hermione be Emily would have to fear Hermione, which seemed more difficult than any other task she had been given. "I'm surprise you're not with them yet." She said truthfully. "I saw you eying that cauldron, thinking about stealing it?" She wondered. "You seem to have a knack for stealing other things." She said, acidly. Speaking, of course, of Emily's stealing of Hermione's boyfriend.

Emily gave a small laugh."You serious? Me get hurt by you? Please Hermione, don`t delude yourself. It`s too sad."Emily said with a glare. She crossed her arms across her chest. This girl had to be kidding. If anybody was the more capable to hex the other it was certainly Emily.
Emily`s eyebrow arched."My parents were never in jail. Maybe you should check your references before you open that big mouth of yours Granger."Emily said with a shake of her head. Emily laughed out loud."Stealing it? That`s funny. Please Granger, I have enough money to buy you and your entire family. Not that a mudblood and her muggle family would cost much though." She said coldly.
"Ron you mean, eh? Why are you sooo worried about him? I thought you two...loved each other. And if he loved you then he wouldn`t go messing around me, would he? Hmmm....kind of makes you question where his loyalties lie."Emily said with a grin.

Hermione had underestimated her. Somehow she had developed a sense since the last time they talked. Before she was a whiny little kid, but now, now she was just a spoiled little brat. Hermione snickered a little. "I never said I would hurt you." She said abruptly. "But you are putting ideas into my head." She smirked. "Come now, I mean, you are a Slytherin. Doesn't that also make you a servant?" She asked. "Tisk tisk, too bad your master is weak."
She shrugged. "Every stupid death eater is the same. They all meet the same end eventually, I am just predicting now." She said acidly, meaning that she knew they would eventually get caught. Hermione smirked. "Wow, by seventh year I would have expected a better comback than 'mudblood.'" She laughed. "I forget, though, you're practically as immature as a second year."
Hermione paused for a second. No, she would not let this stupid prick get to her, never. And she would not allow herself to give up her love to Ron. They did love each other, didn't they? "His loyalty lies with the order." She said flatly. "And it's rather pathetic that you keep running to him. Jealous that he loves me and not you?" She asked. "That's almost sad."
((Haha, sorry, I'm really bad at insults. I couldn't play a Slytherin to save my life XD))

Emily raised a questionable eyebrow."Is that all you`ve got. Please Granger. I thought you were smart.Must be wrong then."She said with a shake of her head.
"Whatever you little snotty-nosed Gryffindor. You really are worthless to me."Emily smiled."Ah-hah. I`m aware that his loyalties lie with the Order. But tell me, do they lie with you?"Emily grinned.
"Pathetic? Pathetic is when you always have to question your boyfriend if he`s sleeping with one of his best friends. Pathetic is always worrying about where your boyfriend is or who is with or if he`s fucking anybody. That is pathetic."
"Me, jealous? Why should I be jealous? Looks like you`ve already got that down. I`ve heard of your little outbursts." Emily snickered."Ron, don`t lie to me. Ron, don`t talk to her. Ron, why? Why would you do something like that?!"Emily said, mocking Hermione in a high voice.
She stepped closer to Hermione so that their noses were just touching."Trust me Granger. I`m not worried that he doesn`t love me. I know that he loves me. I know that he will always love me. Whether it`s my mind...or the fun we have...or my body."Emily smiled."If anybody is deeply in mad with each other around here. It`s me and Ron. Whether as friends...or lovers."She said, whispering the last part.

Hermione told herself that she would not let this girl get to her. She was true, she was no good at fighting, she didn't even want to fight, but she loved Ron and she did not want to break down and give up. She, though, knew how hard she was on him, and how fed up he always got with her, but after all the words and all the saying, she was sure he loved her too. Hermione was familiar with the lies Emily told, but this time she did not believe she was lying. For the first time in her life she had listened to a Slytherin break her down, and she agreed with it. She was no match for Emily, because she had it all. Hermione was just some poor muggle born in the world, right? That's all she was, a mudblood.
She did not want Emily to know she had won, but she didn't have a choice. She didn't want to walk away, though. Instead she hoped that they could solve differences, but knowing Emily it was no use. She would never listen because she was too proud. She was too self centered to think of another living being. The words that poured from Emily's mouth hit Hermione like a ton of bricks. Hermione felt stupid, she felt embarassed, and she felt used. Emily had won, that was the end of it.
"I'm sick of this battle." She said, tears filling her eyes as she turned and peered into a window that displayed jewelry. Her eyes fell on engagement rings and she felt her heart shatter. Now, her wishes would never come true. "If you want to me to tell you that you win than fine!" She said angrily. "Make fun of me all you want for crying but if you were hurt as badly as I am going through right now then you'd cry too." She growled a bit. "I'm not angry at you, nor blame you, but I am sick of being mad at you because of the stupid differences we had as kids." She said, turning from the window. "I am pathetic, dramatic as it sounds, but I know that. But Ron loved me anyway. Even if I was a bit bossy or a bit moody, he still loved me. For me." She said. "But clearly, we're over." She said, still rather frustrated with herself. "Truth is, I can win against you."
She went to turn to walk away. "If you see Weasley," She said, acidly. "Tell him that we're done." She turned her head in tears and began to walk.

Emily`s smile fell. Was this really happening? Hermione had always been such a fighter. She had always stood up for what she believed and for herself. And now she was just giving up, just like that.
"So that`s it! You`re just giving up, just like that?"Emily yelled out to Hermione. Her voice faded. She didn`t know what to do, what to say. Sure, Em had seen Hermione cry many times before. "This isn`t about winning or losing."Emily said, just loud enough for Hermione to hear. Or was it? Hermione and Emily were always fighting, about the same thing, Ron. Why was Emily fighting for Ron? She already had him. As a best friend, she knew that Ron would never stop being her friend. Or was she fightinng because she loved Ron also. Emily knew that she loved Ron. As a friend. As her best friend. But did she want him for herself. To marry and whatnot? That`s not what Emily wanted.
Emily didn`t want to apologize to Hermione. She knew she should, but she didn`t want to. It would show that she was weak. And by showing she was weak, it would show that a part of the deatheaters was weak. Emily had always been taught by her parents that emotions were dangerous. They could tear you apart and sell out your master, the dark lord.
"We`re still kids. " Emily said.
Emily ran over to where Hermione was and blocked her way from leaving."I`m not going to apologize for everything I said or did. But you already won. We were never fighting for Ron. Or at least I wasn`t. I don`t want Ron. I have him already. As my best friend. You can have him. You already do. As your boyfriend, and your love. He loves you very much."

Ron walked slowly along the streets of Diagon Alley, his eyes carefully examining the displays in the windows he passed. He still felt a bit crummy after his fight with Hermione a few days previous, and even though they had made up - as usual -, Ron still felt he owed her something to show that he really cared. 'Cause he did. Ron loved Hermione more than air, for bloody sakes. He was a bit worried about her and Emily; the two seemed to be fighting more than usual. It felt a bit weird to have girls fighting over him; he'd always been the one that watched his brothers get all the girls. Ron felt a bit guilty that Emily and Hermione were fighting over him. He felt like it was his fault they hated each other, which wasn't completely true. They had hated each other to begin with, but the thing with Ron had only made it that much worse.
Looking up as he heard two familiar voices yelling, Ron closed his eyes tightly and scrunched his nose, praying that he was dreaming. "You have to be kidding.." He muttered, shaking his head as he opened his eyes slightly enough to see the two girls. "Oh bloody hell!" Ron said loudly, kicking a nearby wall. Realizing that that wasn't the best idea once the pain shot through his now throbbing toes, Ron jumped around on one foot for a few seconds, holding onto the hurt foot for dear life.
Ron looked up however, as he spotted Hermione walking away from Emily in tears. Oh no. No, no no. This was bad. Hermione never cried. She never walked away. Sure, she wasn't exactly a fighter but she wasn't one to back down like that. Obviously Emily had crossed some sort of line with her. Ron quickly limped his way over to Hermione, reaching her just after Emily had. "What's going on?" He asked, putting a few fingers under her chin and turning her head up to look at him. "What happened, 'Mione?"

Hermione didn't want to give up and she knew that what Emily wanted was a fight, but in the mess of it all Hermione realized that fighting with her was solving nothing. Hermione did listen, though, to Emily but she was not fooled by any of it. She knew that she wasn't acting like normal Emily because "normal" Emily was a Slytherin through and through and was no where near as nice as she just sounded. Hermione didn't want to be fooled by Emily's apparent weakness and so that was why she didn't believe her at all. She took a deep sigh of frustration as she turned to her, angered and yelled. "Yes, that's it!" She said immediately and then listned to the rest of her speech. She stopped dead in the dirt and glared at her with as much effort as she could take.
She waited. "Best friend, ha, best friends don't do the stuff that you did with him!" She yelled. "If he loved me as much as you say that he would have stopped himself before it got out of hand. I don't believe this is your fault." She said out of context. "You could have gone onto him, but it was his choice to walk out or not and he didn't. I give up fighting for someone who can do that to me. You said it yourself, you two are madly in love." She said acidly. When she turned she found Ron, out of no where, trying to comfort her. She glared at him, hitting his hand away from her face. She growled. "Don't say anything." She said sharply. "Emily said enough. Leave me alone, Weasley." She said, pushing his shoulder and attempting to walk away again. Her tears flowed harder this time.
