Harry James Potter walked along the school grounds his heart was heavy in his chest. He couldn't believe he'd been so stupid. He let Ginny go, the one who'd liked him for him, not the famous person he was. He loved her, he knew he did, and yet he was foolish enough to let her go. But it was for the best, Harry couldn't risk letting her get hurt because of him. It didn't matter to him if he died, so long as she lived a happy normal life would be better than watching her die a horrible death. Harry would not let Ginny die, not for him, not because of him, as much as it pained him to do it, he knew it was what was best for her.
Harry found himself by the lake, staring into his reflection, he dropped to his knees staring at the boy who was not him. This boy was extremely happy, he looked so unpained, so unhurt. And yet the real Harry was hurting, his heart was hurting. How could it be that his reflection did not show this, he hit the water with his fist, making the person in the water disappear in a wave of ripples. He layed back in the grass staring at the open sky, he couldn't bare to look at himself. Harry sighed as the clouds moved in the sky. Rain was sure to come. If not now, then soon, very soon.

Ginny Weasley slumped against the tree that she had been leaning on, and crumpled to the ground. It was the same tree that she and Harry had spent many a day at, sharing innocent and not-so-innocent kisses, and just enjoying one another's company. She had put on a brave face for the world, but she just couldn't do it anymore. She felt her eyes well up with tears, and they streamed down her face.
That stupid prat. How could she let him get away with this? She didn't care if she was in danger or not, as long as she was with him. That was all she had ever wanted. She would give anything to just turn back time... to go back to when times were happier. It wasn't fair. Ginny cried harder, her body shaking with sobs. She loved him, and she shouldn't have let him go without a fight, and a damn good one at that. She should have tried something. Pleading with him, yelling at him, crying about it, complaining, seducing him... That last one did have it's appeal, but Ginny wasn't that kind of person. She'd just have to use logic to get him to see her point. After all, she was a Weasley, and in danger anyway just because of her family. And Voldemort would surely know about their relationship already because of Snape and Malfoy. Shouldn't Harry want to keep her as close as humanly possible to protect her anyway? It all made sense to her, but Harry didn't think it through obviously. Typical boy.

Harry was arguing inside his head, his heart and his head. Both fighting over Ginny. How could you let her go. She'll die because of me. She's strong enough to take care of herself. She doesn't deserve someone like me. She doesn't care. I care. So what? I won't let her get hurt because of me. She'll get hurt either way, remember her families the biggest blood traitor family in the magical community. She'll die because of me, if Voldemort finds out he'll kill her. How will he find out, you're supposed to know how to close your mind. I can't close my mind, I just can't. Try harder, and maybe you'll see that you were stupid to let her go. But it's for the best. Not for you and not for her. It is better for her. Breaking her heart doesn't solve anything you idiot. the war raged on inside his head. He grabbed his head with his hands and squeezed his eyes shut wanting to to stop.
Just then he heard someone crying and the voices went silent for a moment. Harry sat up and there he saw Ginny crying hard. I told you breaking her heart wouldn't solve anything. "SHUT UP!" Harry yelled hitting the ground with his fist. The voices were gone, no echoing left behind. He shook with rage, he looked up and there she was still crying. He stood and took a deep breath he needed to calm himself. Harry walked to her. "Ginny..." he said his voice nearly a whisper.

Ginny sobbed harder, thinking about all of the reasons that Harry might have done what he did. He probably was just trying to protect me. But why would he? I love him, but he only seems to fancy me. It's just not the same. I care about him a million times more than he cares about me! But maybe... maybe he just said that he was trying to protect me. Maybe... maybe he just needed a way to break up with me because he was sick of me so he used it as an excuse so he didn't hurt my feelings. That stupid, noble prat!
By now, Ginny was sobbing harder than she ever had before. Suddenly, she heard a voice yell for her to shut up. She glanced up, still sobbing on the ground, and saw the object of her thoughts. Harry bloody Potter. Yelling at her.
"Don't you bloody tell me to shut up, Harry James Potter!' she shouted through her sobs. Why would he be so cruel to say something like that to her? Didn't he already know that she was hurting enough?
"No... just... go away," she said, sniffling. If he had come to explain why he had broken up with her, then she didn't need to hear it. That wasn't what she needed at all.

He hated to see her crying and all because of him. He didn't want this, he never meant to hurt her. He loved her, he thought he was protecting her, but he was the one hurting her. He hurt her, and he didn't even know it. He dropped to his knees beside her staring at her as she sobbed uncontrollably. How could he have been such a moron, she needed protecting...from him. No one had hurt her, no one but himself. Your such a bloody f*cking idiot. the voice said again. Harry sighed deeply and ran a hand through his hair.
"Gin I wasn't telling you to shut up." Harry said looking at her. "I wouldn't yell at you." he said, his heart was feeling even heavier, seeing her so distraught.
"I won't leave Ginny, I won't go away." he said shaking his head. "I was an idiot." Harry said looking at the blades of grass. "I never meant to hurt you, I thought I was protecting you, I'm so sorry Gin." Harry said looking back up at her. It hurt to see her cry, cry because of him.

Ginny glared at him as he dropped to his knees to sit beside her. Couldn't he see that he was hurting her enough just by being here? God, why did he have to torture her like this? All she wanted to do was jump into his arms and hold him for the rest of her life. She wanted to kiss him until the war ended, and run her hands through his messy hair. Even though she hated him right now, she couldn't help but love him no matter what.
"Who were you talking to then?," she grumbled, gesturing out towards the lake. "The giant squid?"
She looked up at him in shock as he said that he wouldn't leave. She couldn't help but smile slightly as he said he was an idiot. "Yeah, you are," she said, smiling and wiping her eyes. The tears still wouldn't stop flowing freely down her cheeks.
"So you think I'm just going to forgive you now, is that it? Just pretend like you never hurt me, and just leap back into your arms?" Ginny asked angrily. "What happens when you do the same thing again? What happens when you see that you shouldn't even care about my feelings? That I'm just a stupid little girl that was stupid enough to fall in love with you? And you're the best person that I've ever met. You're kind, noble, smart, too attractive for your own good, and so many other good things. I'm just... not worth it! Some day you'll realize that and you'll leave me, and then... it'll hurt worse than it's hurting now!"
Ginny felt more tears coming down her face, and buried her face in her hands to hide from Harry. She couldn't take it if he hurt her again.

"Well the voices in my head." he said, there was no point in lying to her. "They wouldn't quit argueing." he muttered bitterly.
"I know I'm an idiot Gin, I know I hurt you, I know I made a mistake." he said staring into her eyes. "I thought breaking it off with you would save you from a horrible death, from getting hurt because of me. But it's because of me that your hurting now." Harry said dropping his head. "I didn't mean to hurt you." he muttered.
"No of course not, I don't expect you to forgive me or jump into my arms." Harry said as his head snapped up again. "Ginny I'll always care about your feelings, you're not a stupid girl, I'm a stupid boy, I broke your heart and its killing me to see you like this because of me." Harry said his eyes locked on hers. "Gin you are worth it, you mean the world to me." Harry argued. "I wouldn't leave you again Gin, it's hurting to be away from you, and to see you crying is ripping me to shreds." he said lifting on hand, but he let it fall again. "I miss you Ginny your the one that really understood, and loved me for me not the famous me everyone cares about. I'm so sorry I hurt you in the first place I just wasn't thinking straight, I thought I was doing the right thing what was best for us both. Instead I hurt us both." Harry mumbled shaking his head.
Harry grabbed her hands and moved them from her face, he wiped away her tears, "Forgive me Ginny, although I don't deserve it. I'm sorry, I didn't mean it." he said lifting her face so that she was looking at him.

Ginny listened with wide eyes as Harry made his speech. She started to get more tears in her eyes, but for a different reason. Suddenly, she couldn't take it anymore and she threw her arms around him, pressing herself as close as possible to him. "I do forgive you, you stupid prat," she said, before closing the inch between them and bringing her lips to his. She kissed him passionately, winding her arms around his neck.
Ginny couldn't take it any longer. She needed to tell him. He needed to know. She unwillingly pulled back from the kiss, and took Harry's face gently in her hands. "I love you, Harry Potter," she said, smiling shyly at him.

Harry caught her in his arms and held her close to him, he never wanted to let her go. He kissed her back, trying to put what he felt for her into the kiss, all the passion all the love, everything into the one kiss. "Thank you" Harry said when she broke the kiss. He smiled at her as she confessed her love for him. "I love you too Ginny Weasley." Harry said as he pulled her to him and he kissed her again. "So much." he said as he broke the kiss.

Ginny smiled as he kissed her back just as passionately as she was kissing him. She felt more tears of happiness come into her eyes as he told her that he loved her. "God, I'm so sorry Harry. I just can't stop crying," she said, sniffling and giggling at the same time.
"Well I love you more," she said, quickly kissing him again before he could retort, as she knew he would. She placed her hands on his chest, and gently pushed him down to the ground, straddling him while she continued to kiss him. She ran her tongue across his lower lip, silently begging to deepen the kiss.
Ginny was ecstatic. She had her Harry back, he loved her, and she couldn't be happier.

Harry smiled as she kept crying, he understood that these were no longer tears of pain, but of happiness. "Don't be silly" Harry said wiping her tears. "They're tears of joy, I'm not gonna be mad at you for crying those tears." he said laughing, but he kissed her lips.
Harry was about to argue the point about who loved who more but he couldn't Ginny was kissing him again. He kissed her back, he was pushed to the ground and Gin straddled him, his hands were on her waist as she continued to kiss him. He allowed her entrance as she begged for it, his tongue probed her mouth wantingly.
He had Ginny back, he was happy again, he would not be so foolish this time, he wouldn't let her go again.

Ginny smiled at him as he said that he didn't mind if she cried. Her big, brown eyes sparkled from the tears that were in them, but also from sheer happiness. How could things have changed so drastically in just two minutes? Ginny didn't know, but she thanked whatever supreme being that was out there for it.
Ginny moaned softly as their tongues met, and lay down fully across Harry's body, trying to be as close to him as possible. She pressed herself against him, moving her hands to the back of his neck. She moved her lips against his slowly, and gently massaged his tongue with hers. As they broke apart for air, Ginny smiled down at Harry. "I know I've already said this twice in the past minute, but I'm truly, madly, and deeply in love with you," Ginny said, rolling off of him to snuggle into his side with her head on his chest. "And I will be for the rest of my life."
Ginny knew that she was taking it a bit above and beyond, but she couldn't stop telling Harry her feelings. She just hoped that he wouldn't be freaked out at all by her comment that she would be in love with him forever. It was true, though. Every word. She could imagine in vivid detail the little green-eyed red-haired and brown-eyed black-haired children running around, as her and Harry sat in the midst of them. A family. That's what Ginny wanted some day.
"Harry," Ginny said, lifting her head from his chest to look up at him. "I'm coming with you. Whatever mission that Dumbledore gave to you, Ron, and Hermione... I won't let you go alone. I can't live without you. I won't be able to sit idly by at home as you go and risk your life. I love you too much to not go with you. And don't you even think about refusing, because I'll just follow you. And I'll be safer with you than all alone following you."
Ginny would follow him no matter what. That's what love was. Always being with the other person, no matter the risks or consequences. And if her idiot brother put up a fight... then Ginny would lay a good Bat-Bogey on him as soon as she turned 17 this summer.

He smiled at her bright smile, things had went from horrible to unbelievable in like ten seconds. He just couldn't believe that Ginny was with him again, the girl of his dreams still loved him even though he'd hurt her.
Harry's arms wrapped around her body as she lay ontop of him, the slight pressure felt nice and seeing as it was Ginny he didn't mind at all. A moan escaped his lips as their toungues moved against each other, he loved the feel of her lips against his. They broke apart, after all they needed to breathe, he listened as Ginny spoke. "No matter how many times you say you love me I won't be able to hear it enough." he said holding her close as she snuggled into him. "My heart is your for eternity." Harry simply replied.
Most guys would have freaked out over a comment like that, but he knew that the love the two had for each other was true. He knew that one day he would ask her to marry him, for there was no other girl for him. He could already see a family, the two them with kids, it was the future that lied ahead for them. Harry knew that their love was fate.
"Ginny I can't let you go, I can't let you." Harry said staring into her eyes. "I don't want to see you hurt, and knowing what we're going to go into, this is just to dangerous Ginny. Voldemort himself could show up at any minute, I just can't let you be in that danger." He said holding her tighter, but not enough to hurt her. "I will not allow you to die because of me, and please Ginny don't follow us, I will be in contact with you when I can. But please don't follow, your life is to precious to me to lose for if you die I'll have no reason to live." Harry muttered kissing her lips again.

((Sorry for the crap post, Shelbs )) Ginny almost moaned again as Harry wrapped his arms around her. It felt good, almost too good, to be true. Being this close to Harry again brought out the familiar mixture of love and lust that she was so familiar with at this point. She grinned as Harry pulled her close to his side, and she snuggled into his chest. "Well, I'll just have to make a habit of it then," she said, smiling lovingly up at him. As Harry listed off all the reasons why he wouldn't let her come with them, she rolled her eyes. She had many more reasons than that, but for the opposite end of things. "I don't care about Voldemort, Harry! I just want to be with you. Do you know what it would do to me if I didn't know where you were, what you were doing? I need to be right by your side! That's what love's all about, anyway. Sticking with the person you love no matter what! Harry James Potter, I will follow you wherever you go, and there's nothing in this whole entire bloody world that you can do about it!" she stated defiantly. "Besides," she said in a husky voice, looking up at him through her lashes. "We'll get to sleep in the same tent, won't we? I can think of a few... benefits to that situation. Can't you?" She might just have to go through with this seduction thing after all... not that she minded in the least. She had been thinking about certain aspects of her and Harry's physical relationship. She didn't necessarily want to sleep with Harry just so he would let her go with him. Actually, she would sleep with Harry even without any other reason to do it than wanting to. But it wouldn't be just sleeping together, Ginny mused happily. We'd be making love. That's what it would be because we're in love with each other.

((Don't worry about it Rach =P))
He smiled impishly at her moan, kissing her forehead. "Perhaps you will." Harry agreed, hearing Ginny say 'I love you' was something he'd never be able to hear enough of. He couldn't say it enough to her, for in his heart he knew that what they had was truely love. There was nothing in the world that could break that, and nothing would come between it either.
"Ginny I care, I can't have you die, I won't let you die." Harry said his voice fierce but stern. "I can't let you come Gin." he said. "I can't stand not being with you Ginny but if in the end I kill Voldemort, I won't have to worry about being with you, about worrying that something bad will happen." he said. That was a reason he couldn't stress enough to her, that although he loved her, he needed to leave to kill Voldemort, so that she would be free, so that he would be free. "Ginny please don't follow me, I'll be damned if you die trying to follow me." he said his words hard.
Harry looked down at her and smiled, "I can, but what about your brother?" Harry asked. "But you won't be there so there's nothing to worry about." Harry muttered. Although he knew the things that could happen if she went, he was not going to risk her life for a little pleasure. He refused. He had of course thought about their relationship and the thought of taking it further, but was she ready for that, was he? Harry let out a soft sigh, he knew that Ginny wouldn't give in, she would follow even if he begged her not too, but he would not take her. He wouldn't let her die, not for him.
((Sorry for the craptacular post))
