Ginny lay in her bed, thinking about Harry. She couldn't help it, she missed him. She had missed him ever since that day at Dumbledore's funeral. And as much as she wanted to hate him and be mad at him... she couldn't. She sighed as a tear made its way down her face, and she furiously swiped at it. But more came.
Ginny hoped that no one came into her room. Ginny hated when people saw her cry, and that's why she hardly ever cried in the first place. She lifted up her covers and ducked under them to hide her face. She didn't care that no one was in her room, she just needed to get away from everything...
What she would give for Harry to come in right at this moment and admit that he was a giant git... the biggest git on the planet. She would kiss him, and they would tell each other that they loved each other. Then they would just lay in each other's arms, enjoying the feeling of being alive and being in love. That's what Ginny Weasley wanted more than anything. But unfortunately, fate seemed to have much different plans for her. It was no use hoping and wishing when what she wanted most would never happen. It was entirely worthless.
Oh how Ginny wished she could just take away all of Harry's burdens. If she could, she would take them all upon herself just to see a smile on his face. But that wasn't an option. Ginny had to fight for him. She'd decided that recently. She'd fight by his side, no matter what he tried to do. Ginny knew that she was strong, and especially good with magic. She could help...
A new wave of tears washed down her face, and Ginny sniffled. She must look horrible right now. She sure felt horrible right now...

Harry walked up the stairs of the burrow. Ron and hermione were off snogging someplace, Fred and George were most likly plotting something and Mrs. Weasley was off doing god knows what so Harry was left to himself for a while. He was sick of sitting back and listening to Ron and Hermione tell each other how much they loved each other. As happy as he was for them finally getting together and staying together, he couldn't take anymore of that in one day. Harry stopped when he thought he heard someone in the room he was passing. Without stopping to remember whose room it was, Harry knocked on the door before opening it and walking inside.
Harry stopped in his tracks after he had entered the room as he realized whose room he had just walked into. Ginny....The only word that registered in his mind at the moment. He had done his best to avoid her since he had been at the burrow. It was much easier that way. Easier then trying to go on pretending that everything was alright between them....that he didn't have feelings for her anymore. Harry thought about just turning around and leaving but found that he couldn't for some reason. Sighing, he closed the door behind him as softly as he could. "Ginny?"

Ginny groaned as she heard someone enter the room, and buried herself even further under the covers. "Go. Away. Now," she moaned, trying to wipe away her tears. What if it was Ron? Or Fred? Or George? They'd never let her hear the end of it!
Ginny cautiously peeked out of the top of the covers, only her big, brown eyes showing. They widened in surprise as she saw who it was. Harry bloody Potter was in her bedroom. "Harry," she whispered in surprise, blushing a little bit. She didn't want Harry to see her so helpless, so vulnerable. He needed to think she was strong if she even wanted the slightest chance to fight by his side.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, looking at him like a lovesick puppy. Honestly, it was as if the fates were against her. Did his hair always have to look so adorable that she had to run her fingers through it? And did his eyes always have to draw her in like two deep green whirlpools? And Merlin, when had the little, scrawny 11-year-old boy turned into a muscular 17-year-old man with a well defined body? Ginny honestly couldn't say.

"I...um..." Harry started, not knowing exactly what to say. He was staying at the burrow after all, she knew he was here. But then again they hadn't spent more then a second alone together since he had come here. Everytime someone would leave the room so they would be alone, Harry had quickly made up some excuse to leave too. He didn't trust himself enough to know he wouldn't do anything stupid if they spent too much time together alone. Harry couldn't deny that he still cared for her, but he also couldn't deny that he didn't want her to be in any more danger then she already was.
Finally, Harry cleared his throat and shrugged his shoulders. "I was just walking past and I thought I heard someone...guess I was right." He replied stupid, rubbing the back of his neck out of nervousness. The last time they had had a proper conversation, Harry had broken up with her. And now after all that time they were standing here alone. Well, he was standing at least. "Uh, you alright?" Harry felt stupid, standing here, not knowing what to do with himself. He shoved his hands in his pockets as he looked around the room before fixing his gaze back on Ginny.

Ginny looked on curiously as Harry stood there nervously. He looked like he was fighting an impulse, and Ginny hoped that impulse was to completely snog her senseless or even more... Ginny couldn't help but find the idea appealing, even after her mother's lectures on scarlet women. Ginny didn't honestly even give a damn.
She tipped her head a little to the side as he struggled through his sentence. She couldn't help but wonder... what did Harry want? She knew that he had broken up with her to protect her, but would that really stop his feelings? They sure as hell hadn't stopped hers...
"Not really," she replied honestly, shrugging and smiling slightly at him. "There is something you could do about that though."
Ginny sat up and brought her legs out from the covers. She knew that Harry probably wouldn't listen to her at all. Even though he was a hormonal teenage boy, he still had a lot of self control. Suddenly, Ginny realized that she was wearing a very low-cut black tank top and a tiny pair of shorts. And that all of that was now exposed to Harry's sight. Oops.

Harry raised an eyebrow at her response. He was too busy fighting against himself that he didn't understand what she was talking about for a second. As soon as she lowered the covers though, and Harry took in what she was wearing, it became that much harder for him to stay where he was. Why the hell couldn't he just forget his feelings for Ginny? Wanting to protect her didn't completely outweigh wanting to be with her. Harry shook his head at himself and look down at his shoes. He should have just walked out of the room when he realized whose room he had come into. Then he wouldn't have to be fighting himself right now.
"Look, Ginny..." Harry began quietly as he walked across the room towards her. He sat down on the end of her bad, making sure not to make eye contact with her. "You remember what I told you at the end of last year, right?" Harry asked, unsure if she still did. Maybe she had blocked out everything he had said because she didn't want to hear it. Maybe she just made herself try to forget it. He didn't know. Harry shifted slightly on the bed, looking at a particular spot on the wall to make himself not look over at Ginny.

Right at that moment George busted through the door. He sniffed the air."You guys, don`t smell anything, do you?"He asked, not bothering to look at the pair. He obviously didn`t care if there were having an intimate conversation, at the moment George was a bit preoccupied.
"Whhaaaa"George asked, leaning his body out the door. You could hear Fred in the distance shouting to George."Naw, nothing. Their still awake. Still have a pulse and everything. You guys are alive right? Yeah, what am I saying. Yup, they`re fine!"George yelled.
He put his whole body inside the room again and sniffed the air, squinting his eyes in thought."Shit, it didn`t work.Alright, well if you two smell anything peculiar than you should jump out the window or something. Just get yourself out fast before it`s too late."George said, looking around the room, still not looking at the two.
He grabbed the doorknob and made to close the door but stopped and swung it open again, now glaring at the two."I`m watching you two. Don`t try anything."He said, with his brotherly affection and closed the door for good.

Ginny slightly smiled as she realized that her unintentional evil plan was working. Harry looked affected by her current state of dress (or undress) and was staring at a spot on the wall.
She jumped slightly when her brother came in, and left quickly afterward. He really should knock before barging into other people's rooms!
"No," she said, looking at Harry again in response to his question. "But I think I just don't want to remember."
"Harry," she whispered, moving over to him and laying a hand on his arm. "Can you honestly look me in the eye and tell me that you don't want to be with me? If you can, I'll leave you alone. I won't ever bother you about this again. But I need to know."
Ginny took one of Harry's hands, and looked into his eyes. She would know if he lied to her. And she hoped that he wouldn't even attempt it.

And then Ron entered the bedroom, but not without punching George in the nose again. He hadn't forgotten or forgiven what George had done with him and Hermione, and he wasn't about to. "Bloody prick." Ron shot a glare at his brother before turning his attention to Ginny and Harry. His eyes scanned his sister and her lack of clothing, and he immediatly rolled her eyes. What the bloody hell was with her whole 'Come Hither' thing she had going?
"Merlin, Gin. Put some clothes on." Ron muttered, pulling his shirt over his head and throwing it at his sister. "Mum's right, you are turning into a scarlet woman." He shook his head, crossing his arms across his now bare chest. His sister was really starting to get on his nerves. Ginny was basically stalking Harry in her underwear, it was only a matter of time before she planted herself on his bed completely naked. And when she did, there'd be hell to pay.

Harry looked up at George when he entered the room. He grinned and shook his head. It was always entertianing in the Weasley house when Fref anf George were inventing a new product...or just causing trouble. Harry turned back to Ginny after George left, sighing as he heard what he said. "I know you don't want to Ginny. But thats not the point, is it?" He asked quietly, forcing himself to look around to the opposite wall again.
Feeling her hand on his arm, Harry couldn't help but look at her. His head seemed to be acting of its own free will, dispite everything his head was saying. He opened his mouth to tell her exactly what she asked him to but closed it. Harry tore his gaze away from he and resumed looking at the wall. He couldn't flat out lie to her, not after what he had told her at Dumbledore's funeral. Harry's head snapped up when Ron walked into the room. George was one thing, but his best mate? Harry knew Ron too well to know that Ron would take this lightly...even if nothing was happening at the moment. "Hey mate..." Harry said. Now he really didn't know what to do with himself. Why couldn't Fred and George make something explode so they all had to vacate the house?

"Yes, it is the point!" she said. "Shouldn't we do what we want to do? Damn Voldemort! Don't let him control your life, Harry!"
Ginny groaned and hit her head against the headboard of her bed as yet another interruption came in the form of Ron. As he spoke to her, she sat upright, her eyes blazing with anger. Jumping up, she marched over to him and slapped him right across the face.
"This is what I was planning on sleeping in, Ronald Weasley!" she shouted at him, knowing that he would cower in fear. She had that effect on all of her brothers. "I didn't bloody well know that Harry would come in here, so don't you dare call me a scarlet woman!"
Ginny slapped her brother again for good measure before pointing out the door. "Get. Out. Now!" she yelled, pushing him towards the exit.

"I don't have a choice in it Ginny!" Harry said, his voice rising slightly. He didn't mean to yell at her but it was a hot spot with him. Voldemort had giving Harry no option for his life. No matter how much he wanted to, how much he tried, he couldn't have a normal life until Voldemort was gone. For good. "I'm sorry I yelled at you..." Harry said with a sigh. "It's just not something I can help." He finished quietly.
Harry watched Ginny as she made her way over to Ron. His eyes widened out of suprise when she slapped him. There was no denying it. Ginny was a lot like Mrs. Weasley, probably more alike then even she knew. Harry stood up slowly, running his fingers through his hair on the top of his head. Partly out of nervousness, and partly out of habit from trying to make it lay flat. "Er...maybe I should just go Ginny." Harry said as he watched her for her reaction. His head was telling him that he should get out of her now, but another part of him was telling him to stay put and see what happened.
Harry had been dealing with Voldemort for most of his life. But there were some times when he hated Voldemort more then others, hated him for being a part of his everyday life. And this was definatly one of those times.

Ron glared daggers down at his younger sister as she slapped him, reaching up a hand to rub the red mark that she had left on his cheek. As Ginny started yelling at him, Ron continued to glare. Yes...He had listened to Ginny scream at him for sixteen years, but he had finally begun to ignore it. It didn't scare him as much anymore. It was just annoying. Just like Ginny. Ron had lost all interest and nice feelings towards his sister, and though that kind of depressed him a bit, he didn't care. She was being irrational. As usual.
As Ginny slapped him again, Ron's eyes darkened and he turned around to face her, grabbing her wrists to stop pushing him. Merlin she was lucky he refused to hit her, because at that moment Ron would have clocked her a good one. Ginny had better thank Godric Gryffindor she wasn't a boy. "Don't fucking hit me, Ginny!" Ron roared, releasing her wrists and yet refusing to stop glaring at her. He heard Harry's voice, but ignored it. After a moment Ron let out a frustrated breath. "You can talk to Harry at dinner, Ginny." He said, his tone harsh and final, before turning away from her and moving to push Harry towards the bedroom door.

"Yes you do! You can do whatever you want with your life, Harry. You just choose not too, and that's what I love about you!" Ginny yelled back at him passionately.
Ginny turned back to glare at her brother. "Don't you dare touch me, Ronald Weasley!" she said, wrenching herself free of his grasp. "I have every damn right to hit you after you decide to call me a whore!"
"And don't you leave, Harry James Potter!" she said angrily, glaring at both of them at the same time now. "We're not finished here!"
Ginny's expression softened as she turned to look at Ron. "Ron... please," she said, looking at him. "Can you just... go? I was having a conversation with Harry. Please."

Harry just stood back and watched Ron and Ginny argue. He knew them well enough by know to know not to get in the middle of their fights. Although this time he wanted to put his opinion in as they were partly yelling about him. Only it would help if he knew his own opinion. Harry aloowed Ron to start pushing him to the door until her heard Ginny yelling at him. He stopped walking and just decided it best to just take a step back from the two of them as the had it out at each other.
Finally sick of their yelling, Harry shook his head and looked over at Ron. "Look mate..." He started slowly. "I'll be out in a minute, alright?" Harry finished carefully. He didn't want Ron to get upset but he was tired of avoiding Ginny. They needed to finish talking and he knew it. What the outcome of the talk would be however, Harry wasn't exactly sure yet.
